Our Acute Care team spans several units with admission sources from the Emergency Department, PACU, ICUs and direct admissions. Med Surg Oncology (2 North): The patient population includes oncology, gynecological oncology, bariatric services, medical disorders, women's services (including breast surgery), perinatal loss, post-partum readmissions and hospice patients transitioning to the end stage of life. Chemotherapy administration is an important component of the unit and is administered by chemotherapy certified RNs. Chemotherapy certification is required 8-12 months post hire.
