Summary Assumes responsibilities of a Surgical Technologist which include but not limited to preparing the operating room, including the sterile field, setting up surgical equipment, supplies and solutions.  During surgery, surgical technologists pass instruments, fluids and supplies to the surgeon and prepare and manage surgical equipment.  Surgical Technologist simultaneously manages the sterile field and specimens.  Surgical technologists perform a count of sponges and supplies to prevent foreign retained objects   Education and Formal Training:  High School diploma or equivalent. LPN, CNA, EMT, or Medical Assistants may apply. Graduate from an accredited surgical tech program is desired. Will have current CPR certification or obtain within 30 days of hire date. Work Experience:   Work experience as a Surgical Tech and/or one year work experience as a licensed/certified LPN, CNA, EMT or Medical Office Assistant required.
