The Critical Care Transport Nurse (CCTRN) is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care throughout all aspects of ground transport, including triage, assessment, and treatment while practicing in accordance with established policies and protocols under the direction of the Critical Care Transport Program Medical Director. In collaboration with their transport partner, the CCTRN evaluates the nature and extent of the patient's illness or injury, establishes and prioritizes care needs, and ensures the safe transfer of patients across the lifespan to appropriate facilities.
