Sept. 11 Changed America, But American Resolve Doesn’t Waver

Half-mast American flag against blue skyToday, flags will fly at half-staff and Americans will observe a moment of silence at precisely 8:46 a.m. EDT. We remember the nearly 3,000 people who were killed, as well as honor the more than 6,000 people who were injured, in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Many things have changed in our country as a result of those devastating attacks, but our resolve as Americans to protect our Nation has never wavered. To all who responded on that fateful day and to every Soldier who has reported for duty ever since, we at On Your Guard say thank you.
