I helped with framing/shear walling when it was needed before setting up/hanging sheetrock, put mesh
tape/tape over the seems/butts/corners of it/helped mud/spot where it was needed, sanded down the
imperfections/bumps made sure the pipes were tightly caught up with mud/tape and helped paint to finish a salon shop in one of the market malls just off of Lake Otis.
We started off by making sure the brush between houses was cut short so that we could spot bears
going in and out of town, and when we were done we would load them up to be brought to the dump to be burned.
Ramper
We would open, do the daily tasks in the task log, clear any debri on taxi ramp, oil/fuel dips/checks, sort/
load/unload the mail/freight/belongings of passengers, escort across ramp, weigh mail/freight/belongings of passengers, and do janitorial clean up around work space.
We would clock in, uniform, check/mark a daily task off daily task list, and start on it. Repeat, but
remember to check the daily task off the list before hand so the employees know someone is doing it or
it has already been done. Then around quarter-closing we would start on closing procedure, sweeping/
mopping, checking/fronting/facing the produce/products, taking out expired produce/trash, fridge/freezer
temps/logs, and clocking out even if we weren't done by a certain time/expected to keep working after
clocking out till the list was done. Was not a fan of having to do the last one especially since I was nowhere near going into over time while working another job.
We would set up camp/site, pick/manage the net along with fish and transporting the fish to a tender
boat, clean and maintain camp/site, collect pond water for steam baths, and try to maintain the sites
nets through out the season by mending them.
Set up site, picked/managed net, transported goods to a cannery, weighed the fish, and cleaned and maintained camp site through out the season.
