Part-Time Licensed Funeral Director – Independent Firm (Broward County)
Serenity Funeral Home & Cremation – North Lauderdale, FL

Well-established independent funeral home handling approximately 300 calls annually seeking a licensed Funeral Director for a flexible, part-time role (20–25 hours/week).

Compensation: $32–$35/hour, based on experience
Not an entry-level position

Role Overview

This position is designed for a Funeral Director who is comfortable working independently in both arrangements and services, and can step in where needed in a busy, well-organized operation.

Responsibilities

• Meet with families and arrange funeral and cremation services
• Coordinate and schedule services, clergy, and cemeteries
• Direct and assist services (chapel, church, graveside)
• Provide coverage for removals and general operations as needed

Schedule

• Flexible based on case volume
• Weekday availability required
• Rotating Saturdays 

Requirements

• Active Florida Funeral Director license (dual license preferred)
• Ability to independently conduct arrangement conferences and direct services
• Professional, reliable, and comfortable in a high-volume setting

Additional

• Prep room/embalming experience is a plus, but not required
