Job Description

The HR Associate is energized by the idea of building departmental structure and playing a hands-on role in shaping employee experience. This role is perfect for someone who wants to learn by doing. You'll get real project ownership and work alongside experienced HR professionals.

Short-Term/Seasonal (10-20 hours/week)
Designed to complement academic schedules or provide meaningful experience during early career transitions.  Flexible, part-time schedule between 9am – 5pm, Monday through Friday

Job Responsibilities

  • Complete HR infrastructure projects such as:
    • Creating a system to help employees understand and update their beneficiary designations
    • Auditing our HRIS data and filling in the gaps
    • Establishing compliance calendars that keep us on track
    • Building out our company intranet so employees can find what they need
    • Updating workplace postings through all our locations
    • Designing checklists and procedures that make complex tasks simple
    • Creating, launching and analyzing employee surveys
    • Building a skills database to help us understand our team’s capabilities
    • Auditing materials/systems for accessibility; building inclusive solutions
    • Set up filing systems that make sense and are easy to use
  • Connect with people:
    • Communicate benefits, policies and programs to employees in both English and Spanish
    • Help coordinate and run training sessions, employee programs, and events
    • Provide support to the HR team and other staff when needed

  • Bi-lingual fluency in English and Spanish (required)
