*Overview - AFTERNOON SHIFT*
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team on the afternoon shift. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in respiratory care, with experience in various settings including PICU, inpatient, and outpatient environments. This role is critical for providing high-quality respiratory therapy to patients with diverse needs, ensuring their comfort and recovery.
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine respiratory therapy needs.
* Administer medications and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
* Monitor vital signs and adjust treatment plans based on patient responses.
* Provide care in critical care settings, including emergency medicine scenarios.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans.
* Educate patients and families on respiratory health management and equipment use.
* Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatments administered.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department.
*Experience*
* A degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program is required.
* Certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) is preferred.
* Experience in PICU, pulmonology, critical care, or emergency medicine is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in performing patient assessments and administering respiratory medications.
* Familiarity with operating room protocols and procedures is a plus.
* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
