This is a full-time 12-hour shift 7p-7a position that does require some weekends and holidays.
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine respiratory needs and develop appropriate care plans.
* Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including ventilator management and airway interventions.
* Collaborate with healthcare teams in critical care settings to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
* Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with hospital protocols.
* Provide education and support to patients and families regarding respiratory health and treatment options.
* Stay current with certifications, including STABLE, CPR, ACLS, PALS, RRT, and NRP, to ensure high-quality care.
Successful candidates:
* Graduate of an AMA approved school of respiratory therapy, therapist program
* Registered by the State of Kansas as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP)
* Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or RRT eligible
* Current ACLS, NRP, PALS, and STABLE certification desirable
* Must be able to perform CPR, current CPR registration required
