Coulee Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Nurse Scheduling Coordinator & Activities Assistant to join us! As an integral member of our Nursing teams, the Scheduling Coordinator and Activities Assistant is a dual role that works to adequately and appropriately staff all nursing units, while also providing activities and social engagement to Swing Bed and Non-skilled Swing Bed patients.
The Scheduling Coordinator’s primarily responsible for entering and maintaining patient care units' nursing and support staff’s schedule into the scheduling system and coordinating staffing on a projected and shift-by-shift basis, working in collaboration with Unit Managers and Charge RNs on duty. This position ensures adequate staff to cover vacation and sick time, edits and reviews timecards before Manager Approval each pay period and performs secretarial duties as assigned.
On the dual side, the Activities Assistant supports the patient care cycle by providing compassionate, patient-centered, quality activities to skilled and non-skilled swing bed patients. The Activities Assistant will work in collaboration with the Non-skilled Swing Bed Lead, and/or delegate to plan and provide daily activities. This position required flexibility to transition between assigned roles throughout the day based on departmental needs and daily schedule.

Salary Range: The wage range for this position has been finalized for the facility including min-mid-max amounts, and the selected candidate will be placed within the range depending on years of experience.

We have two rural health clinics, one on-campus and the other located 25 miles to the south in Coulee City. CMC serves four counties and a population of approximately 8,000 people, with 6 physicians and 7 mid-levels on staff. We also host visiting specialty physicians providing orthopedic, podiatry, cardiology, oncology, and sleep medicine services.
Our care extends to not just the five area communities of Electric City, Grand Coulee, Coulee Dam, Elmer City, and Coulee City, but also into the rolling wheat fields of outlying areas covering more than 50 miles in all directions and including the Colville Tribal Reservation to the north.
